My View on Plastic Surgery

Recently, more and more people choose to take plastic surgeries. Some people believe that this kind of surgery can give them better appearance, which help them build up their confidence.

Personally, I disagree with this opinion. To begin with, plastic surgery can improve one’s appearance, yet cannot improve one’s character. Success relies on one’s abilities but not appearance. Most positions need competent and well-trained people, rather than beautiful people. Then, a large sum of money is a must for one to take a plastic surgery. For instance, it takes one at least 2,000 Yuan to have double eyelid. Finally, people receiving plastic surgeries have to bear the risks of an unsuccessful surgery which will be a lifelong pain.

In all, plastic surgeries should not be regarded as and simple and common surgeries. We can get what we want by improving our inner qualities, and there is no need to suffer the pains and economic loss of a plastic surgery.

M: Ah, well, the economics course is a double unit so there are two lectures a week and one tutorial. The lectures are scheduled at four for Tuesday and Thursday.

W: I've got a part-time job that starts at four thirty.

M: Well, you can’t be in two places at once, can you? And attendance at lectures is necessary. We expect at least 90% attendance at this university.

W: 90%! That’s high! Do they enforce that rule?

M: Yes, we do. We're pretty strict about it actually. Anything else I can help you with while you're here?

W: What does it involve?

M: Well, the course at this university has a vocational focus that is a focus on preparing its graduates for work, so we're orientated very much towards employment.

W: So my chances of getting a job are good?

M: Well, provided you get good results.
