10.Your friendship over the years has meant an awful lot to me, more than I can say because I'mnot good at saying things like that.你多年的友谊对我非常重要，远比我能说出来的重要得多，因为我不擅长表达感情。
句中，介词短语over the years“多年以来”修饰friendship。more than引导比较状语从句，because引导原因状语从句。
awful表示‘非常的”，用来修饰lot。an awful lot意为“非常多"。a great lot和a good lot也可表达同样的意思。
